World of warcraft rogues: guide to the stealthy poisoners of wow

Here is something to chew on: nobody really likes a rogue in world of warcraft unless you are the one playing it that is. They have a bad boy reputation that precedes them. However here we shall not indulge in being so petty in judging those sneaky, ugly cowardly pvp cheats that infest the game. Not here.

They are a class that excels at stealth tactics and are agile and good at mele close combat damage dealing. In this role they can more than match both fury specced warriors and feral druids. At their disposal they can also call upon a wide range of weapons that includes daggers, fist weapons, maces and at later levels they can also specialize in swords and two handed weapons.

Armor wise they are poorly protected as they can only wear leather and cloth. Being a melee class you would think that to be a big risk but they can draw on an additional arsenal of abilities that more than makes up for this disadvantage.

Aside the fact that they are adept at making themselves completely invisible so that they are able to surprise and overcome their opponents, rogues can stun, disorient and incapacitate opponents in combat. Then when reaching level 20 their lethal abilities are further boosted by them being able to administer five different types of poison that applied to their sharp blades cause the enemy instant to medium and even long lasting damage to opponents which almost inevitably results with them winning or killing their adversary.

What makes rogues so good at overcoming their opponents is their agility and speed. Their various talents combined with the arsenal of weapons at their disposal and the poisons that they administer to enemies, together with their agility speed and stealth allows rogues time and again to clinically rip to pieces any adversary crossing their path. If you spec your rogue correctly and make proper use of the poisons, stun abilities etc, you will no doubt continue the tradition of them being the most hated class in world of warcraft. But that is not something which rogues are bothered about as that is what makes them the cult class that it is: one that is either loved or (mostly) hated.
